Challenge: Get Your Groove On


It's time to get your groove on and pull out your best Flashdance moves! Once a day, take a 5- to 10-minute dance break. You might feel a bit silly at first, but if you put your inhibitions aside and dance, you'll feel footloose and fancy-free.

    Pick your music
    Choose a song (or songs) that you absolutely love, and that make you want to get up and go. Cue the music!

    Dance, dance, dance!
    Go for it! For 5 to 10 minutes, dance like you've never danced before.

Prep Steps & Tips

  • Dance alone

    If you’re a little shy about this challenge, make sure to find a safe, secluded space where you can really let your hair down. Now dance like you've never danced before!

  • Double your pleasure

    If you love to dance and have no inhibitions, recruit a friend or coworker to join you. It’s time to double your pleasure and share the fun with another.

  • Wear comfortable clothing

    You'll be more likely to really dig deep if your clothes allow you to move without restriction. Sequins optional, but encouraged.

  • Dance on your lunch break

    This is the perfect time to go for it -- especially if you have an office with a door that you can close. (Headphones are recommended, however.) You’ll head into your afternoon riding high and ready to rock!

  • Surprise your significant other

    Another good option: As soon as you get home from work, put on your favorite music, grab your significant other -- and boogie down.
